I have been playing with RL-17 in my 30-06 and in my 9.3x62 where it shines.. I am getting 2417 FPS average in one 9.3x62 and a bit less in another with 320 gr. Woodleighs. My book data calls for 59.5 grs. of RL-17 and velocity of 2353 FPS. Thanks guys, I have a great load worked up for my 30-06 of 52 grains RL 17 with a 180 gr berger bullet, so it is certainly not causing pressure issue with a max in the Berger book at 55.2 grains. Comment: There were no pressure signs with any of the 6XC loads. With RL 17 I was shooting naked Sierra 107s at 3200 fps with no sticky bolt lift. My prior loading with this rifle was with 40 gr of N160 shooting Moly Berger 105 VLDs and above about 2950 fps I used to get sticky bolt lift,... 150 ttsx rl17 30-06 My rem 700 shoots 168 tsx with 60gr of rl19 pretty darn well, but I have four pounds of 17 I would like to try with some 150's. I will be dropping down to the 150 ttsx to try and gain a ill speed and to try and help them open up better at distances over 350yds.

However I did get the 200 grain ABs to shoot with RL19 at 2600 fps in the past. Used that load to shoot a deer, drt if there was any question to that though I have never had a Nosler bullet do anything else in my 30-06 but a drt.

Rl-17 is close to 4350, so it should work, especially with heavy bullets in the 30/06. I'll make a report when I don't have to scrape the ice off of the shooting bench! I’ve been watching intently the Reloader 17 (dis?)information available on the internet. My interest has been to make heavy bullets go well from my 308 Win. Having shot an entire season of F/TR with the 208 Amax pushed along by Varget, I felt I had a good basis for comparison. First, the rifle: My rifle is a multi-purpose rifle. Its burn rate is slightly faster than Reloder 17’s — well within the 4350 burn speed band. This makes it ideal for traditional hunting cartridges as the .30-06 and .270 Win. Reloader 17 Any of you folks have any experience with Reloader 17 in a 30-06 165gn 180gn bullet. Suppose to be amout the same as IMR 4350. Have loaded up some and planning to shoot them soon.
